It's here, the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. The roof is a 2-piece carbon fibre unit. But there's no trick hydraulics to fold the roof, its all hand-operated, all manual. But once off, it jus becomes a great way to feel the wind in your hair, and loud glorious exhaust note behind you.
It does the 0-62 mph mark in 3.0 seconds, which is a tenth of a second slower than the coupe. But its top speed is the same, at 217 mph.
Spy pictures published in Autocar magazine in October 2012 show an Aventador roadster variant in development, thought to be using a two-piece carbonfibre roof rather than a removable soft-top.
Lamborghini, along with the aventador range, also manufactures the popular Gallardo.
